A CoolNow technician jet-washing foam off an aircon coil

Foam jet wash · Aircon cleaning

Aircon cleaning that goes deeper than a filter rinse

Most basic servicing rinses the filter and stops there. We foam the cooling coil and jet-wash it clean — removing the dirt and dust that choke your airflow — then measure the difference so you can see it.

Not a general servicing

A filter rinse isn't a clean

The dust that slows your aircon down doesn't sit in the filter — it packs into the fins of the cooling coil behind it. A filter-only service leaves that untouched. Here's what changes with a foam jet wash.

Filter-only servicing

  • Filter rinsed and put back
  • Dust stays packed in the cooling coil
  • Drain often not checked
  • No measurement of what improved
  • You take it on trust

Better airflow and cooling

Dirt and dust between the coil fins restrict the air moving through your unit. Clearing them helps it cool the room the way it was designed to.

Less strain on the unit

A clean coil and a clear drain help the aircon run without working harder than it should — good upkeep for a unit you rely on every day.

Proof you can see

Before-and-after photos and airflow readings are saved to your account after every visit, so you are never just taking our word for it.

The process

How your aircon gets cleaned, step by step

Seven steps, from the first airflow reading to the final check. The photos and clips below are from a real CoolNow job.

Watch it happen

A full clean in under a minute

From covering the floor and unit, to foaming and brushing the coil, jet-washing it clean and putting the aircon back together — one real CoolNow job.

  1. 1Step 1 of 7

    Check and measure first

Before we touch anything, the technician takes a photo of the coil and an airflow reading, so there is a proper starting point to compare against.

  2. 2Step 2 of 7

    Cover up the unit

A protective cover and collection pail go up so nothing drips onto your walls or floor.

  3. 3Step 3 of 7

    Foam the coil

Cleaning foam is worked in between the coil fins, reaching the dirt that a filter rinse never touches.

  4. 4Step 4 of 7

    Jet-wash it out

A pressurised water jet flushes the foam and the loosened dirt out of the coil and into the collection pail — the runoff shows exactly what was in there.

  5. 5Step 5 of 7

Clean the filter and clear the drain

The filter is rinsed clean, and the drainage tray and line are vacuumed clear so condensate keeps draining properly.

  6. 6Step 6 of 7

    Reassemble the aircon

The filters and panels go back on, and the cover and pail are packed away.

    Prove it

A second airflow reading and an after photo are taken. Before-and-after results are saved to your CoolNow account, so you can see what changed.

What comes out of your aircon

This is the collection pail after a wash. The dark water is the dirt and dust that had built up in the coil — exactly what slows your airflow, and exactly what a filter rinse leaves behind.

Good to know before you book

Condominium bookings

If you live in a condominium, please inform your MCST in advance if your appointment falls within a “no work” period. If we're unable to carry out the work because this wasn't arranged, your booking may be rescheduled or cancelled.

Height limit

For safety reasons, our technicians can only service indoor aircon units that are 3 metres or lower from the floor.

After your wash

  • Leave the front panel open for 10–15 minutes after we leave so residual moisture can air out.
  • Rinse or tap out the filter every 2 weeks between visits to keep airflow strong.
  • Run on fan mode for a few minutes before switching to cool if the unit has been idle a while.

Questions, answered

How is this different from a normal aircon service?

A filter-only service rinses the filter and wipes the outside, which leaves the cooling coil — where dust and grime build up and restrict airflow — untouched. We foam the coil and jet-wash it clean, clear the drain, and measure airflow before and after so you can see the result.

Will it make a mess in my home?

No. A protective cover is fitted around the unit and a collection pail catches the runoff, so water and dirt are directed away from your walls and floor.

How often should I have it done?

For a unit in regular use, every 3–4 months keeps dust from building up and airflow strong. Between visits, rinse the filter every couple of weeks.

What's the Chemical Wash add-on?

A deeper clean for units with a musty smell or visible mould. You can add it at checkout on top of the foam jet wash, so there is no separate visit to book.

Do I need to be home?

Someone should be home to let the technician in and see the result at the end. Please make sure the technician has clear, safe access to each unit.

Which aircon brands do you service?

We service all major brands — Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic, Toshiba, Fujitsu General and more — except LG and Samsung.

Are there any limits I should know about?

For safety, our technicians can only service indoor units that are 3 metres or lower from the floor. If you live in a condominium, please inform your MCST in advance if your appointment falls within a “no work” period. You will be asked to acknowledge both before you book.

Can I reschedule?

Yes — once, and more than 24 hours before your appointment, from your account.
